Riselabs to hold VR Talk @ DPiP: Wednesday 1st March

Reading time: 1 minute

Written by Luke Tyler

Luke talks about Riselabs’ developments and ideas, as well as the latest innovations in tech grabbing our attention.

We are proud to be sponsoring Digital People in Peterborough (DPiP) across 2017.

As an organisation, DPiP serves as a network where insight and knowledge can be shared, as well as making great connections in digital. Taking place on the first Wednesday of each month, it is a free social event  which promotes networking and collaboration. Insightful talks are regularly hosted, too. The aims of DPIP align perfectly with one of our core visions at Riselabs, which is to grow the prominence of local technology and extend the number of active participants within the local network.

We’re good friends – Riselabs have attended many events and supported DPiP by developing a mobile app for last year’s well attended STEM event, too. Some of the organisers even co-work in our office. As a result, we’re raring to go and continue to be involved through sponsorship.

With all that in mind, the next meeting takes place on Wednesday 1st March from 7pm – 9pm @ Bewiched, where Riselabs will be holding a talk on the subject of Virtual Reality. In this talk, Jack will be offering a snapshot into Virtual Reality. Here, he will discuss the range of products currently available on the market, as well as how VR is already being used in novel ways and what to expect commercially from VR in the near future. As an addition, there’ll be opportunities to find out more and actually see VR in action.
